A dark and stormy night 
The results of the 2003 Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest are up—that's the one for the worst first line of a (hopefully) unwritten novel. Sadly, a great many of them are better than the crap I have to edit, at least in terms of spelling and grammar.
